Church Fire Updates
Thank you all for the continued prayers and support! We are very excited to see what God has in-store for our new building.
Update: 06/03/22
The engineer team has had many delays in getting to work on our project. We were notified this week that the building plans are next in their workload. We continue to wait for the engineer team to review the structure plans and complete a code review. Once the plan is updated by the engineer, they will be sent to the county for approval. We hope to receive them by the end of summer 2022.
Update: 07/25/21
The church membership has voted to pursue the second building option. The second option is a church layout that has already been built and the plans are available, although will still need to be reviewed by an engineer team. These plans are currently in the hands of the engineer and general contractor for structural and code review. Once the plans are updated by the engineer team, they will be sent to the county for approval. As of now, land use is still approved by the county.
Update: 03/29/21
It was decided that the previous building plans were too costly after we received the contractor bids thus there is now a second building option for the congregation to consider. This is a plan from a church one of the church members' family attend. We are now sending this second plan to the general contractor for quoting purposes.
Update: 02/15/20
The plans for the new church have been approved by the county. The church board is in the process of selecting and reviewing contractor bids.
Update: 08/12/19
The church building plans are being reviewed by the engineers. Bids have come back for the electrical, plumbing, sprinklers, and other constriction duties. The General Contractor will be announced soon.
Update: 05/15/19
The draft was sent in for code review and several changes needed to be made. After reviewing another updated layout draft, the plans were accepted by the code reviewer. Bids will now be sent out for electrical, plumbing, sprinklers, and other construction building duties.
Update: 04/13/19
The architect has drafted up the new building plans, including the interior and exterior layout. The deacons will be approving the draft, and the architect will send them out for final code approval.
Update: 01/13/19
The new church building layout has been approved by the deacon board and church members. The plans are now waiting on bid from the architects. The old church grounds are being prepped for the new building.
Update: 12/09/18
The new church building has passed the "Land Use" from the county. The suggested layouts by the members have been handed off to a general contractor. Building is expected to commence in February if all continues to move forward as planned.
Update: 10/12/18
The old building is cleared. The new building committee will be selecting the top layouts people submitted and will present the best options to the church board members.
Update: 09/21/2018
Temporary winter building is complete and church services will be held in this building until further notice. A committee was established to review the new church building layout. Demolition of old building is underway.
Update: 08/026/2018
Temporary winter building is now under construction, 08/27 - 08/3. Building layout is still underway and a committee to review the drafts has been formed. Insurance meetings and bids are still in process.
Update: 08/01/2018
Building for winter season use found and secured. Location is next to Hillside Bible Church. Photos and address coming soon.
Update: 07/18/2018
Insurance claim to be finalized soon and construction quotes are still coming in. A few of the church members visited a possible building to use during this coming winter season, details coming soon.
Update: 06/22/2018
A large tent and speaker system was donated for church use. Church board & insurance meetings still underway.
Update: 06/12/2018
The church bell was rescued and is in a safe place.
Update: 06/11/2018

2. Insurance Inspector to verify and review information this week
Update: 06/09/2018
Dear Church Family,
As many of you may already know, our building has nearly burnt down today, 06/09/2018. We are truly blessed that no one was injured or in the building at the time. Even though our building has gone, our church family is still alive and well and are very excited to see what God has in store for us. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is Good! For His mercy endures forever. ~ Psalms 136:1
Thank you to all of the firefighters and support teams that worked hard to put out the fire. We also thank everyone for their prayers and support.
Several of the church members will be there in the morning (06/10/2018 @9:45 am) for prayer and fellowship, you are more than welcome to join. Note: Since there is no building, we will be meeting on the church grounds. Don't forget to bring your umbrella if you decide to come out.
Updates will be posted here. Let the rebuilding begin!
